What is psoriasis and eczema?

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that results in the overproduction of skin cells. The dead cells build up into silvery-white scales. The skin becomes inflamed and red, causing serious itching.

Eczema (also known as dermatitis) is a dry skin condition. It is a highly individual condition which varies from person to person and comes in many different forms. In mild cases of eczema, the skin is dry, scaly, red and itchy. If untreated it can cause skin infections and be very uncomfortable to live with.
