Botulinum toxin (BOTOX) has been used by doctors for over 40 years, originally being used for the treatment of eye spasms and squints.
At The Cosmetic Clinic all BOTOX treatments are provided by Miss Butt, a Consultant Surgeon, who has over 10 years experience in the use of the product for both ophthalmic and cosmetic treatments.
BOTOX treatment is used to reduce or eliminate frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet (laughter lines) and fine lines below the eyes.
BOTOX is also used for a mini brow-lift and can be used to excellent effect in conjunction with other treatments.
Treatment involves injection into the small muscles of the face which cause the lines to form. Treatment usually takes effect within a few days and may last for up to 3 months in the first year of treatment, thereafter treatments are usually provided every 6 months.
BOTOX treatment is a safe and effective method of treating lines of facial expression.
Successful treatment relies upon the experience and skill of the practitioner and upon the quality and strength of the BOTOX used.
