Laser assisted removal using CO2 laser
METHOD
After a consultation with your surgeon the suspicious and undesired lesions are identified.
The lesion will be removed after a small local injection to numb the area. The lump is then reduced and lasered to a shallow depression. Suspicious lesions will be sent for examination by a pathology laboratory.
RECOVERY
The site will scab and then fill up with normal skin. It will take 3 - 6 weeks for the area to heal up fully. A small number of people might need further treatment on week 3 if the site thickens up more than expected. As with all treatments of this nature there is a remote chance of unsightly scarring.
